What are senior living communities or continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs)?

Senior living communities, also known as continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), are residential communities that provide a range of housing and care options for older adults. These communities typically offer independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care all in one location. The goal of a CCRC is to allow residents to age in place and provide the necessary care and support as their needs change over time.
